'The Modi Story' launched: A chronicle of leadership and governance

A new book tracing the leadership journey of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was launched at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) in an event hosted by the Public Diplomacy Forum. Titled The Modi Story: Perform | Reform | Transform, the book aims to provide a detailed account of PM Modi’s governance, policy decisions, and global outreach.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, with Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology, serving as the chief guest. In his address, Dr. Singh emphasized the structural changes brought about under PM Modi’s leadership, particularly in governance, economic reforms, and India’s positioning on the world stage. He highlighted policy initiatives that have reshaped India’s socio-economic framework, calling Modi’s governance model one rooted in “inclusivity, innovation, and integrity.”

Dr. Singh also spoke on India’s growing role in global diplomacy, crediting PM Modi’s international engagements with strengthening strategic partnerships. Further, he underscored the government’s focus on technological advancements, citing key developments such as Chandrayaan-3, Gaganyaan, and India’s progress in artificial intelligence and biotechnology as examples of India’s rising influence in global tech and space sectors.

The Modi Story follows Being Modi, a coffee-table book released in 2014 under the patronage of late Union Minister Arun Jaitley and former Minister Prakash Javadekar. Published by Vitasta Publishing, the latest edition includes rare photographs, anecdotes, and an in-depth analysis of key policy moves and welfare initiatives introduced during Modi’s tenure.

According to the publishers, the book covers PM Modi’s political rise from his early days to becoming one of the world’s most influential leaders, the policy shifts that have shaped his governance style, and the impact of his international diplomacy. The collection aims to offer insights into the transformational shifts in India’s economic and political landscape under his administration.

The launch event concluded with expressions of gratitude to the attendees and contributors. While the book presents an account of PM Modi’s leadership from the perspective of its authors, its release adds to the ongoing discourse on his impact on India’s political and economic trajectory.
