S Thyagarajan, a veteran in sports journalism, passed away today. He was 85.
Thyagarajan had the credit of covering 6 Olympic and 9 Asian Games. He was associated with The Hindu from 1962 to 2013.
Thyagarajan started his journey in journalism in 1961 with The Indian Express.
He was also President of the Sports Journalist Federation of India.
