Twitter posts $727 million total ad revenue in second quarter, up 21% YoY

Twitter has posted an 18% revenue growth year over year, as per media reports.
Its total advertising revenue has reached $727 million in the quarter, registering a growth of 21% year-on-year, or 23% on a constant currency basis. The ad revenue growth for Twitter in the US has been 29%, while it was 26% in the previous quarter.

Chief Executive Officer Jack Dorsey was reported as saying that Machine Learning improvements to deliver more relevant content helped drive up this count.
Twitter’s total operating expenses, including revenue cost, has risen by 21% to $766 million, reportedly due to plans to hire more staffers.
