MPL parent co seeks Rs 50 cr as damages for ‘defamation’

Mobile Premier League's parent company, Galactus Funware Technology, has sent a legal notice to ASCI, seeking the withdrawal of a whitepaper dealing with 'opinion trading in India'.

MPL as also sought Rs 50 crore as damages for alleged defamation, media networks have reported.

ASCI's whitepaper has "deliberately edited screenshots" of MPL ads to prove the risk involved in opinion trading, reports have said citing MPL's claim.

ASCI, on the other hand, has told a leading publication that there was no wrongdoing on their part.
