Bharat Gupta has stepped down as CEO of Jagran New Media, marking the end of his 25-year journey with the Jagran Group.
Gupta announced his departure on LinkedIn, expressing gratitude and reflecting on his tenure. He emphasized that this move is not a farewell but a transition to new opportunities, highlighting his ongoing passion for digital media. Gupta's tenure saw significant initiatives like the launch of VishvasNews.com, a multilingual fact-checking platform. His leadership was instrumental in navigating the company through digital transformations and innovations.
Gupta assumed the role of CEO at Jagran New Media in 2017. Previously, he was the Executive President of Marketing at Dainik Jagran and then served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Jagran New Media. Gupta has actively engaged in several international digital media forums, such as WAN-IFRA, the YouTube Publishers Forum, the Google News Initiative and Newsgeist Asia
