According to media reports, Papa Johns has put its U.S. creative account into review, signalling another major shift in the pizza chain’s marketing strategy. The review, managed by search consultancy Pile & Company, comes as the brand looks to refresh its positioning and creative approach in a fiercely competitive QSR market.

The move marks a significant development for Papa Johns, which has worked with Camp + King as its creative agency since 2019. The review covers the company’s U.S. creative business, while its media account, previously handled by Havas Media, is also believed to be under consideration. Papa Johns has yet to confirm whether the incumbent agencies will participate in the process.

This latest shake-up follows a broader marketing rethink by the company, including a new brand platform and a focus on creative storytelling to differentiate itself from rivals like Domino’s and Pizza Hut. Earlier this year, Papa Johns appointed The Martin Agency as creative agency of record and Carat as media AOR, a move aimed at consolidating its brand message across channels.
