Two Telangana journalists, Pogadadanda Revathi and Thanvi Yadav, have reportedly approached the Supreme Court challenging a Telangana High Court order related to their case. Revathi is the Managing Director of Pulse News, and Yadav is a reporter with the same news channel.

The two were arrested in March this year by Hyderabad Police’s Cyber Crime division. The case is based on a video posted on the channel’s X (formerly Twitter) account, where a Pulse News reporter is seen interviewing a person who allegedly makes abusive and derogatory remarks about Telangana CM Revanth Reddy. The complaint was filed by the Congress party’s state social media head.

According to the advocate representing the journalists, Revathi has now been taken into custody again, despite being out on bail for the last seven months. The lawyer also told the court that her entire office has been seized.

The matter was mentioned before Chief Justice of India Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai. The CJI has agreed to list the matter for hearing on Thursday, October 16.
