SPNI acquires TV, digital broadcast rights for tri-nation cricket series

- Sony Pictures Networks India has secured the television and digital broadcast rights for the tri-nation cricket series featuring India A, Sri Lanka A, and Afghanistan A, scheduled from June 9 to June 21 in Sri Lanka.
- Matches will be available live on Sony Sports Network and Sony LIV for viewers in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, and Sri Lanka, with broadcasts starting at 10:00 AM IST in multiple languages.
- Emerging cricketers, including Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Priyansh Arya, Ayush Badoni, and Suryansh Shedge, will be highlighted, with Tilak Varma as captain and Ruturaj Gaikwad as vice-captain of India A.
- Rajesh Kaul from Sony Pictures Networks India emphasized the series as an important platform for developing emerging cricketers, noting Sooryavanshi as a rising star in Indian cricket.
Sony Pictures Networks India has acquired the television and digital broadcast rights for the tri-nation cricket series between India A, Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A.
The tournament will be played in Sri Lanka from June 9 to June 21. Viewers in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, and Sri Lanka will be able to watch the matches live on Sony Sports Network and Sony LIV. All matches will be broadcast from 10:00 AM IST with English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada commentary.
Several emerging cricketers will be in focus in this tournament. Among them, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is the most prominent name, having earned a place in the India A ODI team for the first time. Priyansh Arya, Ayush Badoni, and Suryansh Shedge are also part of the squad.
India A will be captained by Tilak Varma, with Ruturaj Gaikwad serving as vice-captain. The team also includes players like Nishant Sindhu, Prabhsimran Singh, Kumar Kushagra, Vipraj Nigam, Yash Thakur, Yudhvir Singh, Anshul Kamboj, Arshad Khan, and Anukul Roy.
