A special program will be held on 10 September 2025 in the School of Media Studies and Humanities, Department of Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, Faridabad. On this occasion, the book 'Harivansh's Experiment with AD-Vocacy Journalism — From Ads to Action, Words to Change' by senior journalist and Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha Harivansh Narayan Singh will be released. Along with this, a discussion will also be organized on this.
On this occasion, Dr. Anurag Batra, Founder of 'Exchange4Media' and Chairman of 'BW Businessworld' will be present as a special guest. During the program, there will also be a dialogue session on the topic "Advocacy Journalism", in which views will be presented on the social responsibilities of journalism and the role of advertising in public interest.
The Vice Chancellor and Deans of the University will also share the stage on this occasion. Apart from this, Dr. Anurag Batra will deliver a 10-minute address to the students and faculty on the topic “The Role of Public Service Advertising in Media as a Catalyst for Social Change”.
This book depicts Harivansh ji's journalistic journey, in which he has gone beyond reporting and presented journalism as a tool for social change by focusing on issues of public concern.
