Rajdeep Sardesai has been at the forefront of Indian news for over three decades. A St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai graduate with a law degree from Oxford, he started his career in political journalism in the 1990s. He played a key role in shaping election coverage at NDTV, later founding CNN-IBN in 2005, where he served as Editor-in-Chief until 2014. Currently, he is a Consulting Editor at India Today, bringing his sharp election analysis to television and print.
Sardesai has authored multiple books, including the widely acclaimed 2014: The Election That Changed India, Democracy’s XI: The Great Indian Cricket Story, and 2019: How Modi Won India. His latest book continues this election series, offering an insider’s look at the political maneuvering and electoral surprises of 2024.
