With Maxus Global, Interactive Avenues & Grey Digital leading the nominations, the agency heads speak about the Awards & being featured among the shortlists
With less than 15 days to go for the Indian Digital Media Awards (IDMA) 2013, excitement is building up as participants and the industry wait for the unveiling of the winners.
IDMA this year is a lot more than just an awards function, exploring the digital world that has been flourishing with innovation and creativity.
Commenting on what IDMA means to the industry, Unny Radhakrishnan, Head of Digital - South Asia, Maxus Global said, “IDMA as a property is now increasingly gaining recognition from the marketing fraternity. With digital becoming main stream, initiatives like this will get more noticed, while at the same time raising the bar for good work.”
Maxus is leading the IDMA 2013 shortlist with 20 nominations. The agency demonstrated tremendous work in the digital space for brands across sectors. From social media to web, Maxus came up with milestone work.
“It is good to know about shortlists. But shortlist doesn’t guarantee anything. So, till the final results are announced, the wait continues,” Radkhakrishnan added.
Following Maxus are Grey Digital and Interactive Avenues with 12 nominations each. Commenting on why IDMA is important, Sudhir Nair, Senior Vice President, Head - Grey Digital said, “IDMA was the first to institute digital only awards. It recognised this growing side of advertising and set the tone.”
IDMA 2013 has five broad categories – Web, Mobile, Social Media, Language and Special Awards. “It has been special to us right from its inception in 2010, when we were declared Agency of the Year. We had a good haul last year as well. With 12 nominations this year, we are hopeful of converting a few of those,” Nair added.
The grand finale of IDMA 2013 will be held on June 25 in Mumbai.
