GroupM's Advanced TV universe grows 24% in H1

Maharashtra, Delhi and Karnataka continue to be the top three states with maximum universe share

GroupM's Advanced TV universe has grown by 24.1% in first half of the year.  The universe count now stands at 41.89 million homes across India.

The update has been shared by Rajiv Rajagopal, Business Head at Group M, in a LinkedIn post.

The post further shares that the top eight metro cities contribute 45% of this entire universe. Maharashtra, Delhi and Karnataka continue to be the top three states with maximum universe share.

According to the statistics, Secunderabad, Raigad, Haridwar, Hooghly, Jodhpur, Saharanpur, Jabalpur, Calicut and Thrissur are the emerging markets.

The top states that recorded the highest growth in H1 2024 vs H1 2023 were Odisha (45%), Gujarat (42%), Kerala (36%), West Bengal (32%) and Assam (31%).

Top cities with highest growth percentage were Bhubaneswar, Thiruvananthapuram, Warangal, Mysuru and Dharwad.

The data is for the period January 2024 to June 2024.
