Synovate, the research arm of communications major, Aegis Group Plc, UK, has launched its business consulting practice in India. This practice will co-exist with the already established market research function of Synovate in India. It will have offices in New Delhi and Mumbai. For this the firm has roped into the apex team Naresh Priyadarshi, Team Lead, Risk Management Group, American Express, and Manoj John, Industry Manager, Frost & Sullivan.

Confirming the movement to exchange4media, Priyadarshi said he would be based in Delhi. “It will be a very challenging experience and by the end of this year there will be at least four new people in the Delhi team. We will provide services to IT, telecom, biotech, pharma, insurance, etc.,” he said.

John, who has eight years of industry experience, commented that in Synovate he would be “handling a wide arena of sectors on a pan-Asia basis”.

In India, the initial thrust of business consulting practice would be on Fortune 500 companies in growth-oriented sectors like telecom, biotech, pharma, healthcare, insurance, IT & ITES, financial services, retail, manufacturing, petroleum, logistics, etc. There would be additional emphasis on offering advisory services to large infrastructure and government clients.

Synovate Business Consulting has been providing market and competitive intelligence-based strategic advice since 1991 in Asia, mainly market opportunity analysis, market profiles and sizing, distribution and value-chain consulting, competitive intelligence, key account profiling, market feasibility and market entry strategy, partner evaluation and selection.
