Shashi Sinha, Strategic Advisor of Omnicom Media said, “Prasoon and I share a bond that goes back a very long way, shaped by years of work, trust, and mutual respect. To say that I am fond of him would be an understatement. I deeply admire not just his body of work, but Prasoon the person, his sensitivity, his integrity, and his artistic conscience.”
“What is there not to praise in him? His words have shaped brands, cultures, and conversations, but beyond that, it is his humanity and clarity of thought that stand out the most. This Lifetime Achievement Award, to me, is not merely a recognition of an extraordinary journey so far; it is also a celebration of what still lies ahead. I can only wish him continued inspiration, good health, and many more meaningful chapters in the journey to come,” he added.
Reflecting on Joshi’s role in reshaping Indian advertising, adman, Indian film director, founder of Genesis Film Productions, Prahlad Kakkar highlighted the cultural shift Joshi’s work helped bring about.
“Prasoon Joshi completely deserved this win. He helped change the whole business of advertising from English driven to Hindi driven. It's a very well-deserved reward, long overdue. And, I think, he's remarkable, and he's a pioneer in whatever he does. And other than being a poet and a lyricist and everything else, he brings a lot of value to whatever he does" he shared.
Partha Sinha, Senior Advisor, McKinsy, described Joshi's work as an "imprint".
"Prasoon Joshi didn’t just raise the bar for advertising; he changed what the bar was meant to measure. Not attention, not scale—but meaning. Long after campaigns end, his work stays. That’s not a career. That’s an imprint. Our friendship and years of working together have been their own reward. Around Prasoon, ideas are given time, nuance is protected, and nothing is rushed into performance. Conversations wander, thoughts deepen, and you leave feeling steadier rather than louder. Not many people raise the standard of work; fewer still raise the quality of conversation. Prasoon does both. Effortlessly," said Sinha.
For many in the industry, Joshi’s influence is not just historic, but deeply personal.
Nakul Chopra, CEO of BARC India (Broadcast Audience Research Council India) said, “When you think of the people who defined Indian advertising from the 1990s onwards, it’s hard to think of a better name than Prasoon Joshi. If there was ever a moment for this recognition, it is now, few have shaped the craft, the culture, and the conscience of Indian advertising as profoundly over a lifetime.”
Talking about how Joshi’s legacy is defined by culturally grounded ideas that combine creative excellence with long-term impact, Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director at Perfetti Van Melle (India) said, “The evening was a celebration of enduring ideas and creativity that that is rooted in culture. Honouring Prasoon was a tribute to a rare leader whose work consistently blends insight, empathy, and purpose. He is always invested in brand success and not only looking at creative accolades.”
“For Happydent, Prasoon’s involvement has always gone far beyond the brief. Whether it was the iconic Palace commercial in 2010 or Sparkling Smile in 2025, he was deeply invested in ensuring that the storytelling not only built the brand but also delivered massive business impact.I wish him the very best and am certain there are many more powerful stories yet to come from him,” he said.
Gayatri Yadav, Group CMO and EVP Strategic Initiatives, Chairman’s Office, Reliance took to social media to share her thoughts. She said, “A beautiful evening felicitating Prasoon Joshi for the Advertising Agencies Association of India Lifetime Achievement Award. A one of a kind talent with his prodigious talent as a poet and writer…and boundary less storytelling across lyrics, poetry and advertising. His work is neither abstract nor over simplified…At the core of it there’s respect for the language and the audience. Too young for the award :) the best is yet to come!”
