This week delivered more hits than misses, with ads that were consumer-centric, visually aligned with their brands, and left little room for criticism—although a few narrowly missed the mark. here’s a list of ads that we thought were a hit or miss:

Zomato Dining Carnival

Zomato has launched a series of lively and entertaining ads for their Dining Carnival, featuring Ahsaas Channa and Adarsh Gourav. The ads are fast-paced, engaging, and perfectly highlight Zomato's irresistible offers, capturing the audience's attention, making it a hit for us.

Lenskart Kids Range

Lenskart this week launched their kids range called Unbreakable Glasses. The ad features a playful girl being pushed from a trolley and then her saying “AB daant tootenge…magar chasma nahi”. But the ad, though has a great concept, is too small. Also, the ad does not show product variety and the product looks more like toy glasses than real, even for a child. For us, the ad is a miss.

Samsung Galaxy’s #AwesomeAnthem

Samsung has launched its #AwesomeAnthem for the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G with the tagline, "Bring in your tribe and vibe to the awesome anthem." While the ad features catchy music and solid product placement, it comes across as a somewhat forced attempt to resonate with Gen Z. The visuals feel repetitive, and the portrayal of youth seems out of touch, missing the mark on genuine connection. Samsung missed this one.

redBus's Love for Bus

redBus announced the launch of a new ad campaign called ‘Love for Bus’, highlighting redBus app features. The campaign stars comedian Nirmal Pillai alongside actress Samyuktha Vishwanathan. This ad is made in five languages-- Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali – but yet to be released in Hindi. The concept and feel of the ad is already getting a lot of love from the audiences, deeming it a hit.

Zebronics Ad with Janhvi Kapoor

Zebronics released a musical dance ad with actress Janhvi Kapoor, “Zebronics Chala, Masti Jaga”. Though the ad is fun and colourful, it feels more like a reel from Janhvi’s Instagram and less like an ad. The product placement was great but the ad didn't connect well and felt no different from the old speaker ads. Janhvi might be a hit choice but the ad is a miss.

Viacom India's ‘The Neighbor's Plea’

The best ad of the week was released on Friday by Viacom India. This ad is for the ongoing two test-match series against Bangladesh. This ad is a play on the recent win that Bangladesh had in Pakistan and how India is Pakistani fan's only hope to beat Bangladesh. The “fans from the neighbour” idea isn't only fun but also connects very well with audiences across all demographics. This one is a massive hit.

Havells Home Art Lights

With the ad featuring Dia Mirza, Havells released their new four exclusive collection of home lights, Johari, Rangmanch, Adaa, and Aakriti. The tagline for the campaign is #AStoryInEveryLight. The ad is very aesthetically pleasing and Dia Mirza is looking very regal and elegant. The ad, with its concept and visuals, is a hit.

Clinic Plus Daughter's Day

This week saw multiple great ads and this one is a great example of a hit camapign. This heartwarming ad about a mother's dialogue with her unborn child and wanting the baby to be a girl and asking her to not listen or feel bad about anything anyone else says, truly makes us question our society. The ad is an ode to all those daughters and mothers who face this, even in 21st century India.
