Godrej Consumer cuts ad spends 6% YoY to Rs 341 crore in Q3 FY26

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd cut advertising and publicity spends by 6.3% year-on-year in the December quarter (Q3 FY26), even as consolidated revenue from operations grew in high single digits.
Advertising and publicity expenditure stood at Rs 341.37 crore in Q3 FY26, compared with Rs 364.37 crore in the year-ago quarter. On a sequential basis, ad spends declined 9.1% from Rs 375.74 crore in Q2 FY26.
The FMCG major reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 4,099.12 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, up 8.8% from Rs 3,768.43 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Sequentially, revenue rose 7.1% from Rs 3,825.09 crore in the September quarter.
Total income for the quarter stood at Rs 4,155.01 crore, compared with Rs 3,851.53 crore in Q3 FY25.
Total expenses increased 6.3% year-on-year to Rs 3,364.03 crore during the quarter. Cost of raw materials consumed was Rs 1,396.90 crore, while employee benefits expense stood at Rs 328.09 crore. Other expenses came in at Rs 617.41 crore, of which advertising and publicity accounted for Rs 341.37 crore.
Profit before exceptional items and tax declined 12.8% year-on-year to Rs 790.98 crore in Q3 FY26, from Rs 907.24 crore in the year-ago quarter. After accounting for exceptional items of Rs 91 crore, profit before tax stood at Rs 699.98 crore, down 18.1% year-on-year.
Net profit after tax came in at Rs 497.91 crore, nearly flat compared with Rs 498.31 crore in Q3 FY25, but lower than Rs 459.34 crore reported in Q2 FY26.
For the nine months ended December 31, 2025, advertising and publicity expenses stood at Rs 1,030.94 crore, down 2.7% from Rs 1,059.14 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations for the nine-month period rose 7.6% year-on-year to Rs 11,586.07 crore.
