Tempest Advertising has appointed Aparna Nawathe as Vice President and Branch Head for its Mumbai office.

The company said the Mumbai expansion is an important step in its growth journey, allowing Tempest to bring its expertise in insight-driven brand communication to one of India’s biggest business markets.

In her new role, Aparna will lead the agency’s Mumbai operations and focus on building stronger partnerships with brands. She will also work on solving business challenges through strategic communication, while driving growth and strengthening client relationships.

Aparna Nawathe brings nearly 20 years of experience in brand strategy, integrated communication, corporate storytelling and transformation initiatives. Over the years, she has worked with leading brands such as Unilever, Godrej Group and Dabur. She has also led brand marketing for Shoppers Stop, Femina and Lavasa.

Apart from corporate brands, she has also worked closely with organisations and institutions including the Ministry of Textiles, Cotton Association of India, Tata Trusts and Saint-Gobain.

Commenting on the appointment, Turab Lakdawala said Mumbai is a key market for the agency and the expansion reflects the company’s growing focus on strategic brand partnerships. He added that Aparna’s leadership and business understanding make her the right choice to strengthen Tempest’s presence in the city.

Speaking about her new role, Aparna Nawathe said Tempest has a strong legacy of building brands through meaningful communication.
