The Indian Express Group has confirmed that journalist Saurabh Dwivedi will be joining the organisation, according to an internal communication from Executive Director Anant Goenka.
In the note, Goenka praised Dwivedi’s contribution to visual journalism in India, describing his work as creating “a youthful space defined by intelligence, patience and quality rather than noise and sensationalism.” He added that Dwivedi’s voice is “distinctive, curious without being combative,” and one that “invites conversation rather than shutting it down.”
Goenka highlighted Dwivedi’s “restless hunger for the story,” empathy for diverse perspectives, and his consistent effort to connect with audiences in a relatable manner. He said these qualities align closely with the values long associated with the Indian Express—credibility, fairness and accuracy.
Dwivedi will report to Chief Editor Raj Kamal Jha, with Goenka expressing confidence that he will help expand the organisation’s journalism and take its investigative and explanatory strengths to a growing Hindi readership.
