Data from TAM Sports shows that for the target group C&S 4+ in the all India market, the India-Pakistan semi-final has rated 20.98. The final, on the other hand, where India played Sri Lanka and won the ICC World Cup after 28 years, has rated 23.21.
Media observers and decision makers had told in an earlier conversation to exchange4media that even as a final was a final and the peak ratings would be higher for the final match, at an overall level, the numbers would be marginally higher than India-Pakistan, if at all.
