  • Prior to NDTV, Singh held positions at Bennett Coleman & Company and B4U Television Network, where he successfully launched a new channel and drove advertising revenue.
  • Singh's extensive career includes over 13 years at The Walt Disney Company, where he played a key role in profitability and content development for various networks.
From launching a channel in two months to steering NDTV to its best growth numbers in the business, Mandeep Singh has built a career on turning around businesses fast and making them profitable faster. As he celebrates his birthday today, we look back at a journey that has taken him from broadcast sales floors to the CRO's chair.
Singh took charge as CRO at NDTV in September 2023, leading a team of 52 across ad sales, operations and traffic. Under his leadership, the network delivered 28% YOY revenue growth in FY25, a figure that outpaced other major networks in the business, followed by 22% growth in FY26 against a tough industry backdrop. He has also spearheaded NDTV's IP and events business, launching 86 properties including YUVA, the Golf Pro-Am, the NDTV Art Awards, and conclaves spanning education, real estate, auto and healthcare, with the IP and conclaves vertical running at a 58% profit margin.
Before NDTV, Singh briefly served as Vice President at Bennett Coleman & Company, driving advertising revenue for The Times of India and The Economic Times in the North Branch. He then spent close to a year as Country Manager and COO at B4U Television Network, where he launched the group's fifth channel, Dhamaka Movies, within two months of joining, while restructuring the ad sales, content, distribution and digital businesses.
Between 2021 and 2022, Singh stepped away from broadcast media to co-found Billbergia Nature Science, a digital-first direct-to-consumer personal care start-up, launching a range of 62 products and building operations from manufacturing to e-commerce within 90 days.
The bulk of his career, though, was built at The Walt Disney Company, where he spent over 13 years across roles culminating in Executive Director and Chief Revenue Officer for Disney's Kids, Youth, Movies and Infotainment Network. There, he drove profitability on National Geographic Channel and Bindass, oversaw licensing tie-ups with Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm franchises, and helped develop hit shows including Girl in the City and The Trip. His early years included stints at Times Television Network, Zee Entertainment, Entertainment Network India, and time in the hospitality and airline sectors.
