BARC Week 39: Star Plus leads Hindi GEC Urban Market
Meanwhile Zee Anmol continued to lead overall and rural market for the same week

Zee Anmol continued to be the leader in the overall market with 775 million impressions followed by Star Utsav in the second spot with 730 million impressions, as per the BARC India data for Week 39 (September 22 to 28, 2018). Star Plus climbed to third position with 674 million impressions.
Colors’ ‘Naagin 3’ continued to lead the list of top five programmes in the overall market with 14.4 million impressions, followed by Zee Anmol’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on second position with 12.7 million impressions. Zee TV’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ took third and fifth slot with 12 and 10.7 million impressions, respectively. Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ took the fourth spot with 11.3 million impressions.
Hindi GEC Urban
Star Plus replaced Colors to lead the category with 461 million impressions, followed by Sony which moved up to second position with 445 million impressions. Colors slipped to third spot with 445 million impressions. Zee TV and Sab TV retained its fourth and fifth spots with 377 and 336 million impressions, respectively.
Colors’ ‘Naagin 3’ continued to dominate the top five programmes with 9.4 million impressions. Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ and Zee TV’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ climbed up to second and third spot with 7.8 million and 7.2 million impressions. Star Plus’ ‘Kulfi Kumar Bajewala’ entered the list at fourth spot with 6.4 million impressions. Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ moved up to fifth spot with 6.4 million impressions.
Hindi GEC Rural
Zee Anmol leads the rural market with 626 million impressions, followed by Star Utsav on the second spot with 510 million impressions and Sony Pal on the third spot with 456 million impressions. Rishtey also retained its fourth spot with 345 million impressions. Star Bharat stepped up to fifth spot with 339 million impressions.
Zee Anmol’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ continued to lead the top five programmes with 10.6 million impressions followed by Sony Pal’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ which climbed up to second spot with 7.2 million impressions. Zee Anmol’s ‘Mahek’ held on its third position with 6.5 million impressions. Star Utsav’s ‘Rabba Ve’ slipped to fourth spot with 6.2 million impressions while Sony Pal’s ‘Baalveer’ took the fifth spot with 5.9 million impressions.
