BARC Week 29: Star Plus continues to dominate Hindi GEC

Star Plus maintained its hold over the Hindi GEC category and the urban market with 632 million impressions and 435 million impressions, respectively

According to BARC data for week 29 (July 15–21), Star Plus continued to lead collectively in the Hindi GEC category with 632 million impressions. It was closely followed by Zee TV with 632 million impressions and Zee Anmol with 612 million impressions.

Star Plus and Zee Anmol continued to dominate the urban and rural market with 435 million impressions and 480 million impressions.

Urban Market

Star Plus maintained its hold over the urban market with an improved 435 million impressions, compared to 429 million impressions it had in Week 28.

Zee TV retained its second spot with 380 million impressions as against the 369 million impressions it garnered the previous week.

Colors maintained its third spot with 345 million impressions as against the 344 million impressions it fetched in Week 28.

Sony Entertainment Television moved up to fourth position with 288 million impressions as against previous week’s 273 million impressions.

Sony SAB slipped to fifth spot with 284 million impressions as against the 279 million impressions it fetched the previous week.

Rural Market

Zee Anmol continued to lead rural market with 480 million impressions.

Rishtey maintained its second spot with 444 million impressions.

Sony Pal held on its third spot with 412 million impressions.

Zee TV held on to its fourth spot with 251 million impressions.

Star Utsav also retained its fifth spot with 212 million impressions.
