Arnab Goswami exits Editors Guild of India
Goswami made the announcement during a live broadcast of his show on Republic TV, citing the Guild’s ‘compromise on editorial ethics’ with regards to fake COVID-19 news
Arnab Goswami, Founding Member of Republic TV, has resigned from the Editors Guild of India. He made the announcement on Monday during a live broadcast of his show on Republic TV.
Goswami said he was resigning from the Guild ‘for its absolute compromise on editorial ethics' with regard to spread of fake news regarding COVID-19.
He also said on the show that Shekhar Gupta, President, Editors Guild of India, has not taken a stand against the spread of fake news stories.
