The government has said circulation of newspapers should go not be interrupted as it is vital to ensure that citizens can be made aware of the latest updates and are made aware of accurate information.

The Centre has issued a circular asking all states and Union Territories to facilitate operational convenience of services to ensure dissemination of timely and authentic information.

The I&B ministry has written to Chief Secretaries of states and Union Territories to ensure proper functioning of networks required to create awareness and prevent spread of fake news.

Newspapers like The Times of India have come up with a video that talks about how printing is a highly automated processes and goes on without any human contact. The video talks about robotic handling of newsprint and other raw materials to printing, folding, packaging and dispatch.

Even at distribution centres, media houses have taken measures to prevent spread of the virus.
