The Hindu demonstrates power of print ads

The Hindu kicked off The Pressense, a free advertising expo, on September 10, 2012 in Chennai. The expo will continue till September 15.

The Pressense (standing for Press Sense) is a platform where business owners/ operators and marketing or advertising executives can visit to find out how effective advertising can be done in print for their business.

In conversation with exchange4media, Arun Anant, CEO, The Hindu, said, “Many organisations, particularly small to medium businesses, think mainstream newspapers are out of their marketing reach. The Hindu Pressense is designed to introduce these businesses to the extraordinary power of print advertising.”

He further said, “We have created a series of expo-exclusive advertising packages, which represent substantial savings off our regular rate card. To top it off, we are offering free production of all The Hindu Pressense print campaigns.”

According to Suresh Srinivasan, VP - Advertising, The Hindu, The Pressense simplifies advertising and provides a platform to engage with potential advertisers and share the benefits of print advertising. “It is a market expansion activity that helps getting new clients into the category,” he added.

Spread over six days, The Hindu Pressense will have seven one-hour seminar sessions on how print advertising is effective on each day of the expo.
