MIB in talks with stakeholders to create National Broadcasting Policy

Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar has told the Lok Sabha that the ministry is in talks with stakeholders to create a National Broadcasting Policy, as per media reports.
Javadekar has further said that there is no fixed timeframe to finalise the policy.
This move, the minister said, is meant to enable an environment for broadcasting and ensuring transparency, non-discrimination, consumer protection and orderly growth of the sector.
