Hindustan Unilever (HUL) MD and CEO Priya Nair has said that the next decade belongs to India as the country continues to evolve rapidly. In a post on LinkedIn, Nair said HUL is preparing for the changing Indian market with clarity, confidence and execution discipline. She made the remarks after HUL’s recently held Capital Markets Day 2026, where the company outlined its strategy to “Win in the New India”.
"India is rapidly evolving and today is more segmented than ever! At our recently held Capital Markets Day 2026, we shared how we're building HUL to Win in the New India. Our growth will come from four pillars: increasing category consumption, delivering benefits through premiumisation, developing market-making categories, and expanding into new demand spaces", the LinkedIn post read.
Here's the post:
Nair said HUL’s growth strategy will be built around four key areas — increasing category consumption, driving growth through premiumisation, developing new market-making categories and entering new demand spaces. She said the company is focused on delivering competitive, volume-led growth by understanding consumers closely and building brands through its SASSY framework. HUL also plans to strengthen its go-to-market strategy and build artificial intelligence capabilities as a long-term competitive advantage.
Nair added that HUL’s people, culture and commitment to creating long-term value will remain central to its plans. She said the opportunity in India is significant as consumer needs become more diverse and the market becomes increasingly segmented. According to Nair, HUL is looking to use this changing environment to build stronger brands and capture new growth opportunities in the coming decade.
