IDMA 2022: Jury led by ITC’s Sanjiv Puri picks the best from 1,200 entries

The jury meet for the e4m Indian Digital Marketing Awards (IDMA) 2022 concluded on Wednesday, with an illustrious panel of jurors, led by jury Chair Sanjiv Puri, Chairman and MD, ITC. The jury carefully parsed through the shortlisted nominations to select the cream of the crop when it came to digital marketing in India.

exchange4media launched the property in 2010 with the objective to recognize, celebrate and encourage the works being done in the digital advertising space, celebrating brands, agencies, and campaigns for the innovative, envelope-pushing works.

Puri lauded the awards, now in their 13th edition, for having the foresight to recognize the value of digital marketing way back in 2010, when they were first launched. “The entries and participation were truly engaging and the fact that you had 1,200 entries speaks volumes on the power of this platform. The jury process has been truly enriching,” he said.

Co-Jury Chairs were Avinash Pandey, CEO, ABP Network; Geetika Mehta, Managing Director, Hershey India; and Vishakha RM, Managing Director & CEO, IndiaFirst Life Insurance Company Ltd (Co Jury Chair).

The other jurors were: Aditi Mishra, Chief Executive Officer, Lodestar UM; Vasuta Agarwal, SVP and GM, Consumer Platform Advertising, InMobi; Tarun Chugh, Managing Director & CEO, Bajaj Allianz; Harish Kohli, President & MD, Acer India; Divya Karani, Board Director, CEO Media South Asia, Dentsu; Alex Sibois, APAC Head of Agency, Education and Channel Sales, LinkedIn Marketing Solutions; Gulbahar Taurani, Managing Director and CEO, Philips Domestic Appliances, India Subcontinent; Harshvendra Soin, Global Chief People Officer and Head Marketing, Tech Mahindra; Esha Nagar, Managing Director, Nepa India; Ketan Patel, Managing Director, HP; Murugavel Janakiraman, Founder & CEO,; Alok Jalan, Managing Director, Laqshya Media Group; Shinjini Kumar Co-Founder, SALT; Satish Sharma, President – APMEA, Apollo Tyres; Ram Gopal, CEO, Barclays Bank India; Rakesh Kaul – CEO & Whole-time Director, Hindware Smart Appliances; and Bhaskar Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, Red Bull.

Noting that the jury process comprised a long, exhausting, yet very productive day, Vishakha said it was amazing to see what the entries had done. “Some were Gold from the word ‘Go’, and the pride and enthusiasm in their work was clear to see. It was a fascinating process and I look forward to the awards on the 12th of August.”

Mehta added, “I was blown away by the quality of work being done, and some of the entries really made us sit up and take notice. I want to congratulate the winners, and also the shortlisted entries even though they didn’t win this time. Keep up the good work, keep experimenting, and hopefully we'll see you next year.”
