Tributes will be paid to BJP leader Balbir Punj who passed away on April 18. The prayer meet will be held on April 30 at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.
Balbir Punj was former party vice president and ex-Rajya Sabha member.
Punj was regarded as one of the BJP’s senior intellectual voices and had also served in the Rajya Sabha, where he participated in debates on social, economic and political issues.
Punj also had a long career in journalism from 1971 to 2000.
He was also closely associated with journalists’ bodies and media institutions and served two consecutive terms as President of the Delhi Journalists Association. He was also associated with IIMC in various capacities.
