L'Oréal Paris made a significant impact at the Indian Digital Media Awards (IDMA) 2025, hosted by exchange4media on July 17 by bagging a total of five awards - three bronze, one silver and one gold. Leading the charge were two campaigns: a conversion-driven mobile experience centered around a customized hair quiz and an immersive content-led campaign with Hotstar for L'Oréal Professionnel.
The "Quiz to Conversions" feature, a refreshing innovation on their website, came out as the source of L'Oréal's gold medal. Users were able to identify their hair concerns and receive specific product recommendations thanks to the interactive questionnaire. It wasn't simply clever UX; it was effective. The quiz increased organic revenue by 86%, mobile page visits by 56%, and mobile organic transactions by 80% in just eight months.
The Hotstar campaign aimed to engage with India’s affluent audience dealing with hair concerns like hair fall and dryness. Skipping the traditional advertising methods, L'Oréal Professionnel partnered with Hotstar. A carefully curated "Top Picks by L'Oréal Professionnel" tray was displayed on Hotstar's homepage. Top shows had mid-roll advertisements, and visual dominance was secured by a powerful CTV billboard. Push notifications on mobile devices and social media amplification were added to this, resulting in a multi-layered presence across platforms.
By the end of the campaign, the brand reached over 8 million audiences and got 188 million impressions, uplifting the brand awareness by 39%. This further led to a massive 14% jump in purchase intent, per Kantar. The accomplishment was also reflected in the mobile metrics, which saw double digit increase in all KPIs .
These L'Oréal campaigns not only won awards but also had an impact. By rethinking the ways on which digital platforms can be used for in-depth storytelling, they raised the bar for digital audience engagement.
