On Instagram, influencers and creators have been participating in a recent AI-generated reel trend featuring Hindu deities depicted seated or driving inside cars while showcasing what the internet calls "aura farming."

“Are you scared of living alone in a foreign country?” then cut to “Just a Boy” song with “No, because they are with me.” The viral track “Just a Boy” was reportedly created by a 14yo Turkish boy, which was then used in a Japanese anime and has now found it’s place on Instagram accompanying ‘Bhagwan ji driving in a car’. The format has gained noticeable traction, attracting views and shares across feeds while blending elements of devotion, humour, and modern tech in short-form content.

Thousands of such reels now circulate on Instagram, with many creators uploading videos. Take of example Orhan Awatramani aka Orry’s reel in this format has crossed 3M views on Instagram.

It is not just limited to gods in car but creators have also used bike and other vehicles to add to this viral trend.

“Who are you taking with you in 2026? Them.”

Creators of these Instagram reels rely heavily on AI tools for the format's production. The process typically involves two key steps: first, using AI image generators to create a detailed still image by inputting prompts that describe elements like the deity's pose, the type of vehicle (often luxury cars), lighting conditions, background, and overall scene composition.

Tools such as Google Gemini, Grok, or similar platforms are commonly mentioned for this stage to produce high-quality, stylized static visuals quickly. The second step converts that static image into a short vertical video suitable for Reels. AI motion or video generation tools add elements like cinematic camera movements, subtle animations, depth effects, and smooth transitions-bringing the scene to life. The final videos are then paired with the viral "Just a Boy" audio track to complete the trending format.

As generative AI tools become more accessible, creators on social media are increasingly experimenting with prompt-based formats that allow for quick customization and easy sharing. The "Bhagwan ji in car" trend on Instagram is a clear example of this. This format brings together AI image and motion tools, trending sound, and creator innovation to produce short, repeatable content that drives consistent engagement through views and shares on the platform.
