Helo Care has launched a two-day long #NamasteNature campaign along with the solid waste management NGO
Helo has launched first-of-its-kind digital environmental awareness initiative to mark the World Environment Day. As part of its community empowerment initiative, Helo Care, the platform launched a two-day long #NamasteNature campaign in partnership with Waste Warriors, a solid waste management NGO.
Additionally, the Waste Warriors will live stream the launch of their Model Ward program in Harrawala, Dehradun. This event is happening at their Swachhta Kendra (SK), Uttarakhand's first Material Recovery Facility, which will be opening in the coming months.
The model ward programme will improve Harrawala's environment by working with thousands of families to segregate dry waste, compost organic waste, and promote recycling. The Swacchta Kendra is built for plastic waste management, and these initiatives will go hand in hand to reduce waste going to landfills and to uplift and empower waste pickers in Dehradun.
As a responsible platform, Helo is always striving to play a significant and meaningful role in conversations around supporting the needs of the larger community or society. The #NamasteNature campaign is aligned with the UN theme for World Environment Day 2020 - 'Time for Nature'.
