November 9 - World Freedom Day
The origin of World Freedom Day is the end of communism. What are the things one wants freedom from now?
Freedom is a very misunderstood word. Freedom is not doing what you like. Freedom is autonomy – being able to decide what you like in the first place!
Social Media are celebrated for giving people enormous opportunities to express themselves like never before.
People turn to virtual avatars to live the lives they can’t in the “real” world. This day helps us think about digital freedom & identities. Watch: http://bit.ly/33wnliy
But this access to multiple identities is a privilege because, on the internet, there’s censorship too. Read about the countries that have outlawed social media: http://bit.ly/2rhgUBu
Let’s talk about what digital freedoms you enjoy.
November 10 - Area code Day
Area code was an idea to categorize subscribers to the telephone service. Apply this idea to digital & you’ll get questions like, how do I know who’s coming to my website & from where?
Social media platforms also have such codes (called pixels) that you integrate with your website. These codes help you:
- track conversions from Facebook/LinkedIn ads
- optimize ads
- build targeted audiences for future ads &
- remarket to people who have already taken some kind of action on your website.

- Geo-targeting through location, language, or currency: http://bit.ly/2CjwEq2
The more specific you get, the different your insights! Do tell us how categorical you get.
November 11 - Origami Day
One must turn to origami to understand beauty, time, life! The way these fold & unfold is sheer magic. Who knows what comes next in our journeys of ideas, execution, relationships?
We can only take it one thing at a time. One-fold at a time. That can be thinking about your website page by page, fold by fold. Read: How to Apply Golden Circle to your Website: http://bit.ly/32yqj4Q
Or look at @IKEA & the power in the idea of foldable furniture: http://bit.ly/2NW6FKu
And what if you could fold your phone like a book? See Galaxy Fold: http://bit.ly/34Jbaie
We come back full circle. A gadget that was seen as killing the use of paper begins to mimic one! As we said at the beginning, folds! Who knows what can come next?
Share your stories about the folds in your lives & ideas.
November 12 - Happy Hour Day
What started in 1914 to boost the morale of sailors with boxing matches, dancing & drinking ? has become a marketing strategy. But cheaper early morning shows at the multiplexes or pre-rush hours at restaurants as happy hours ?? are old news! So, what’s different in digital times?
Happy hours are not just about getting customers to drop in during non-peak hours. Happy hours for you also revolve around knowing when your customers are available or free & are consuming your #content.
You’ve got to figure out when your buyer persona comes to visit a particular social media platform. Begin by reading this: http://bit.ly/2CyjFkf
You don’t have to go by gut feeling all the time & wait (often agonizingly for results or no results). For instance, have you been sending your newsletters at the wrong time? What if the receivers are in a different time zone & is sleeping?
Moreover, how do you know if your emails are being opened at all? There are email marketing tools to give you real-time updates. Check out Hubspot’s: http://bit.ly/2rxU9tb
What do these remind you about the way you’ve been organizing your time to fit into your customers’ time?
November 13 - World Kindness Day
Kindness vis-a-vis Digital
World Kindness Day invites you to make this world a happy place with small gestures of kindness. Helping someone cross a road or donate your time/money for a cause or adopt an animal. Read about how digital technology is helping today to raise funds for #charity: http://bit.ly/2X3ncQX

On social media, begin with thanking those who shared your post. Reach out to someone you’ve trolled in the past.
When you make content & don’t see immediate results, be kind to yourself. You may not be getting business now. But if you’ve offered value, you’re helping someone. Nobody can put a price on that.
November 14 - World Quality Day
Quality Day vis-à-vis Digital Marketing
Quality plays a key role in a business's growth. While you may be giving great attention to your product/service, have you given any thoughts to the content you put out there?

Of course, it’s easy to talk about good quality content. After all, how do you know if you’re saying the right thing to the right people in the right way?
Quality is a slippery metric. What you consider exceptional maybe trash to someone else.
