Google updates AdSense to increase transparency for website publishers
Google will launch a Policy Center to make publishers aware about policy actions that affect their sites and pages

Google announced two changes to its AdSense platform on Monday. These changes will increase transparency about policy actions that Google takes on violations.
Google will now roll out page-level policy action as the new default for content violations. “We’ll be able to stop showing ads on select pages, while leaving ads up on the rest of a site’s good content,” said Scott Spencer, Director, Sustainable Ads on a Google blog ‘The Keyword,’ announcing the new initiatives.
Earlier, Google removed all ads from a publisher’s site when a policy violation came to light. “Altogether, this means fewer disruptions for publishers,” explained Spencer. He clarified that Google will continue to use site-level actions if needed. In the case of egregious or persistent violations, Google will still terminate publishers if necessary.
Google will launch a Policy Center as a “one-stop shop for everything a publisher needs to know about policy actions that affect their sites and pages.” The Policy Center will offer insights on why policy actions were taken and the violations found. This includes page-level action data so they can resolve these issues across all their sites and pages using step-by-step instructions. Google has been piloting this Policy Center with thousands of AdSense publishers, who Spencer said have been very positive about these changes and have provided feedback and suggestions on how to make the Policy Center more useful.
These updates are intended to benefit all website publishers who use AdSense. It’s not known how this will impact YouTubers, who have in the past seen their revenue drop because of Google’s change in advertising policies. Spencer said that Google will add policy centers in other publisher platforms in addition to AdSense later this year, although he did not mention which other platforms will be updated. For more updates, subscribe to exchange4media's WhatsApp Channel- https://bit.ly/2QUdLCK
