Finalising the winners of e4m Play Awards 2025 was challenging & rewarding: Rumi Jaffrey

Acclaimed filmmaker Rumi Jaffrey expressed his delight at being a part of the esteemed jury for the e4m Play Streaming Media Awards 2025. Known for his remarkable contributions to Indian cinema as a writer and director, Jaffrey acknowledged the significance of recognising creative excellence in the rapidly evolving digital and entertainment landscape. He emphasised how how the prestigious awards provide a platform to honour exceptional talent, encouraging artists and content creators to push the boundaries of storytelling with innovation and creativity.

With the digital streaming landscape evolving rapidly, the awards served as a platform to recognize groundbreaking content that pushes creative boundaries. The content and talent jury meet for the sixth edition of e4m Play Streaming Media Awards was held on March 17 in Mumbai.

“Being a part of the jury for the e4m Play Streaming Media Awards 2025 was an absolute honour, especially alongside such esteemed industry experts. The presence of renowned professionals from the entertainment world made the judging process both insightful and enriching”, Jaffrey said.

“The selection process was intense, involving elaborate discussions and in-depth brainstorming sessions. With over 200 nominations spanning diverse genres and formats, the task of finalising the winners was both challenging and rewarding. Each nomination reflected the hard work and innovation of creators striving to engage audiences in new and exciting ways.”, he added.

The jury chair for the e4m Play Streaming Media Awards 2025 was Santosh Sivan, Padmashri Awardee and National Award Winning Indian Cinematographar and Director. The other jury members were some of the most renowned faces from the entertainment world.
