Credit card payment platform CRED has reportedly registered six to seven times increase in daily sign-ups after the company released its IPL campaign. Shailendra J Singh Managing Director at Sequoia Capital, who is the investment advisor with the payment app, tweeted about the development. CRED had raised Rs 27.55 crore from Sequoia Capital India in 2019.

CRED was onboarded as the official partner of Indian Premier League 2020. It also launched its latest campaign - ‘CRED: Not Everyone Gets It’ - featuring three ad films slated to launch over the course of the tournament. It stars leading Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor along with other iconic celebrities from the 90s. The campaign was launched on September 19 with the launch of the first film starring Anil Kapoor.

The campaign will have major promotions across digital and television, followed by the second and third videos, with other celebrities highlighting CRED’s take on timely bill payments, over the next 30 days.
