Celebrating Mankiran Chowhan: Salesforce India’s trailblazing leader

On her birthday today, we celebrate the inspiring journey of Mankiran Chowhan, who has recently been elevated to Managing Director & Senior Vice President – India Sales & Distribution at Salesforce. 

In this role, she leads Salesforce’s mission to scale its AI-first CRM solutions, build stronger industry partnerships, and drive customer success across India, one of the fastest-growing markets for the global technology major.

Chowhan’s career spans over two decades, during which she has worked at the intersection of enterprise technology, consulting and digital transformation. Prior to this elevation, she served as Vice President & Business Head for Financial Services and Consumer Industries at Salesforce India, where she partnered with leading clients on their transformation journeys.

Before joining Salesforce, she played a pivotal role as Managing Director of SAP Concur India, leading strategy and adoption for travel and expense management solutions in the region. Her career also includes more than 15 years at Gartner, where she rose to become Managing Vice President & Country Manager – Sales (India). At Gartner, she advised CEOs, CIOs, and other senior executives on growth, technology adoption, and digital strategy, helping Indian enterprises adapt to changing market dynamics and global competition.

Beyond her corporate leadership, Chowhan has consistently championed inclusion and social responsibility. She serves as Vice-President of the Latika Roy Foundation, a Dehradun-based non-profit organization that works with children with disabilities and promotes inclusive education and care. Her involvement reflects her belief that leadership is not just about driving business impact but also about making a meaningful difference in society.
