Veteran journalist and renowned author Moti Nandi was conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award. Lifestyle magazine Vogue has completed one year in India and is celebrating its first anniversary with a special issue that hit newsstands on September 25. The magazine claims to have an audited, proven and continuous print run of 50,000 copies every month since its launch in October 2007.
Mid-Day on September 24 announced hike in advertising rates for its Delhi and Bangalore editions following a surge in circulation, as claimed by the paper. The new rates will come into effect from October 25, 2008. Meanwhile, the invitation pricing of the editions has also been changed.
The CNBC AWAAZ Consumer Awards 2008 were given away to India’s most preferred brands at a ceremony held in Mumbai on September 26. Among the winners this year were LG, Airtel, Nokia, HUL, Parle, State Bank of India, LIC of India, Big Bazaar, Café Coffee Day, Maruti and Hero Honda, among others.
