He played a key role in the launch of NDTV Good Times, Indian television industry’s first lifestyle channel.

Commenting on the move, Tripathi said, “With 4G-powered smartphones in every hand, the rules of content consumption are being rewritten in India. Small Screen has proven itself to be a nimble player, which has managed to produce quality content at scale – whether it is for television or digital platforms. Multi-faceted media companies like Small Screen will lead the content production space in the years to come. I’m looking forward to being part of this journey and deliver value to Small Screen’s television, digital and OTT partners.”

Prashant Sareen, Partner, Small Screen, said, “We started our journey in the 2000s with ‘Highway On My Plate with Rocky & Mayur’. We have seen digital technologies upend media formats and change the way we tell stories. The ability to constantly transform yourself as technology improves at a blistering pace is going to be a key skill set for any media company today. And Narendra will help drive that transformation at Small Screen.”

Roopak Kapoor, Partner, Small Screen, added, “As formats and platforms change, so does the business of making content. Small Screen is focusing its efforts on creating formats and content where we retain IP. We are working with brands directly to conceptualise their branded content and digital ad campaigns. This was unheard of even five years ago! In such a shifting landscape, we’ve decided to add to our strengths. Narendra will help Small Screen forge new partnerships with television channels, OTT platforms, and brands.”
