Marie Gulin-Merle, former Calvin Klein CMO joins Google as VP of global ads marketing

In a move by the tech giant Google to strengthen its marketing team, Gulin-Merle, former CMO of Calvin Klein joins Google as Vice-President of global ads marketing, a news media report stated.

Google has named her as a ‘key partner’ to its ads sales, product, and engineering leadership. With a background in fashion, Gulin-Merle is no stranger to the world of digital marketing.

In her new role, Gulin-Merle will be responsible for setting the vision for Google’s global marketing business, delivering on a global marketing strategy to boost the company’s ad business and its advertising products, and monitor its global media spends, according to a news report. 

In the role of a chief digital officer at Calvin Klein’s parent company, PVH Corp, she was leading the marketing division at the label. She was also credited for transforming L’Oréal USA’s approach to online innovation, during her tenure with the brand as chief marketing officer from 2014 until 2018.

Gulin-Merle joins Google at the same time as Nick Drake, the former marketing boss of T-Mobile joins the tech giant, a news report said.
