Raj Kamble, Founder & CCO at Famous Innovations, Founder at Garage Worldwide and Director at M.AD School of Ideas, India recalls Piyush Pandey's lesson that courage and creativity go hand in hand.

I was truly honoured to have worked closely with Piyush Pandey, more than a boss, he was like family. Our conversations often stretched late into the night over a glass of wine, filled with laughter, stories, and lessons that shaped my life and career.

When I began my journey, advertising was an English-speaking world. Piyush changed that forever. He gave Hindi its rightful place by making it bold, insightful, and glamorous. He made Indian advertising proudly Indian, putting our creative voice on the global stage and inspiring a generation to embrace authenticity over imitation.

I still remember my first campaign with him, a daring Fevicol ad that many thought would never see the light of day. But Piyush saw the idea, not the risk. He stood by it, released it, and that campaign went on to win at Cannes, setting a benchmark for creative bravery.

That was Piyush for me, a fearless, brilliant, and deeply human. He never cared for titles or consequences, only for the idea. His courage, creativity, and heart will forever define the spirit of Indian advertising and the lives of those lucky enough to learn from him.

Raj Kamble shared his thoughts over the call.

He even paid a tribute to the legendary adman on LinkedIn stating:

The legendary adman who made India speak in its own voice and made the world listen.

We will miss him the laughter, the wisdom, and the heart that made words feel human.

Rest in peace, Padma Shri Piyush Pandey
