The much-awaited Omnicom Group and Interpublic Group (IPG), a deal valued at US$13.5 billion, may lead to the dissolution of DDB network, say some reports in international media.

According to these reports, DDB may be merged into TBWA.

The reports suggest that following the merger, the new entity will consolidate the creative operations around three global agencies: BBDO Worldwide, McCann and TBWA\Worldwide.

e4m recently reported that the merger, initially targeted for the second half of 2025, could now extend toward year-end as final regulatory approvals from the European Union and Mexico are still pending.

While 18 out of the 20 global markets have already received approval and key jurisdictions such as the US, the UK and India have already cleared the deal, the timing of these remaining approvals will determine the exact closing schedule. Both Omnicom and IPG said in a statement on Tuesday that they continue to expect closure by December 31, 2025.
