Lodestar UM wins at Festival of Media Asia Awards
Lodestar UM is the winner for Best Entertainment Platform for the work it has done for Coke Studio at the inaugural Festival of Media Asia Awards. UM was the Network of the Year and Coca-Cola was the Advertiser of the Year.
The Festival of Media Asia Awards (FOMAA) concluded its inaugural year on November 15, 2011. The only agency winning from India is Lodestar UM that has won in the category Best Entertainment Platform. The other credits in the entry were given to MTV, Iris, Leo Burnett India. Each category is designed to have a single winner and/or a Highly Commended Award.
Commenting on the win, Shashi Sinha, CEO, Lodestar UM, said, “After Cannes Gold earlier this year, this is a special one for Coke. The icing on the cake is Coca-Cola is Advertiser of the Year and we are Agency Network of the Year. Thank you Coca-Cola, MTV, Leo Burnett and Geetanjali Sriram of Naked.”
The Jury Chairman this year was Rahul Welde, Vice President, Media - Asia, Africa, Middle East, Turkey and Russia, Unilever. Judges from India included R Gowthaman, Leader – South Asia, Mindshare; Sudha Natrajan, Deputy CEO India, Lintas Media Group, and T Gangadhar, Managing Director, MEC India.
The Festival of Media Asia Awards has a two-stage process, inviting the initial shortlisting judges to score the entries and judge them according to the category criteria, ensuring the insight, strategy, execution and results are understood. The shortlist is drawn from the top scoring entries in the categories.
UM was the Network of the Year and Coca-Cola was the Advertiser of the Year.
