Creative guns await fresh ideas at Leo Burnett’s Portfolio Night
The industry looks forward to witnessing the making of next-gen creative superstars. Portfolio Night will take place on May 22

Delhi is all charged up to host Portfolio Night, happening for the first time in the city. Since its debut in 2000, Mumbai has been one of most popular Portfolio Night cities, so the new creative hub-Delhi is extremely excited about the event.
Hosted by Leo Burnett, the initiative will recognise hidden creative guns. Creative directors share their expectations from Portfolio Night. It will take place on May 22.
KV Sridhar, Chief Creative Officer, Leo Burnett India and Subcontinent said, “The event has already generated huge interest among the industry in Delhi. The Facebook page has lots of thank you notes for bringing Portfolio Night to Delhi. In advertising, people always concentrate on Mumbai and Delhi gets ignored. Delhi has given a lot to many of us, so it is one of the ways to give back.”
“Delhi has grown much faster than Mumbai, at least in the last 10 years and the city holds more future; therefore, it is important to recognise the talent here,” he added.
Portfolio Night gives an opportunity to emerging talent to meet the legends of the industry and gain wisdom.
Soumitra Karnik, NCD, Dentsu India Group said, “I am mighty pleased to be a part of such refreshing idea as the Portfolio Night. The panel of creative directors consists of names whose work I have enjoyed as a consumer and respected as a person from the same industry. I am hoping to see several young copywriters, art directors and designers speed date the very accomplished creative leaders. I am hoping to see a vibrant, free flowing exchange of energy between the two. I am hoping to see people fall in love all around me.”
“I am excited by the thought that I would get to witness the beginning of the making of the next-generation of future superstars. I am hoping to eavesdrop on some of the teachings being offered on tables around me so I could learn too,” he added.
The Portfolio Night will witness participation from senior and experienced creative people from Indian advertising, including Prasoon Joshi, Executive Chairman and CEO, McCann Worldgroup India and President – South Asia; Taproot India’s Agnello Dias; R Balki, Chairman & Chief Creative Officer, Lowe Lintas and many more industry veterans.
Amer Jaleel, National Creative Director at Lowe and Partners Worldwide wants to see some of the fresh portfolios from real junior kids. He expects fresh ideas to be shared all across. “I haven’t seen a fresher’s portfolio for a very long time; hence, I am really looking forward to the Portfolio Night,” said Jaleel.
The industry has a lot of expectations from the young ones, as we watch out for the next superstar.
