Amazon and Flipkart enjoyed favourable positions for the last two weeks on the BARC top advertisers and brands chart due to the festive sales. But now with the sale being over, Amazon's ad insertions have dwindled massively while Flipkart didn't find a place on the list.

While Hindustan Unilever Ltd. continues to be the top advertiser with 156539 ad insertions, Reckitt Benckiser (India) Ltd. held on to its second spot with 102356 ad insertions. However, both advertisers have reduced ad insertions this week. Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. moved up the ladder on week 41 to the fifth position from the tenth position in week 40. This week, Pond's India and Procter & Gamble Home Products made an entry into the list.

As far as brands are concerned, Santoor Sandal And Turmeric clinched the top spot on week 41. While Flipkart is out of the list, Amazon has slipped to the sixth position from number 1 in week 40. The decline in ad insertions by Amazon is nearly 73% from week 40. Dettol makes an entry at number four and number 10 with two of its products, Antiseptic Liquid and Liquid Soap.
