This week witnessed several interesting developments and people movements. Facebook was made to pay $40 million to settle a class-action lawsuit for overstating the Average Time its users spent watching video ads for 18 months from 2015-16, the incorrect calculations had led advertisers to pay extra for video ads.  Also, Initiative India, the full-service media agency of IPG Mediabrands, has bagged the media mandate of e-pharmacy brand 1mg. while Havas Media has bagged the digital duties of Piramal Enterprises Limited's Consumer Products Division

We also learnt that Sir Martin Sorrell’s S4 Capital has merged with digital agency Firewood in a deal valued at $150 million.

Also this week, HT Media named Rajeev Beotra as Executive Director, Revenues, Advertising & Distribution, while Tanushree Radhakrishnan quit Zenith as Chief Digital Officer

As the week came to a close, the exchange4media Screenage Mobile Marketing Conference and Maddies were held on October 11 at the ITC Maratha, Mumbai, with Mindshare winning the Agency of the Year award.
