Gaurav Shangari has been appointed as Director - Institutional Reputation & External Engagement at BML Munjal University, part of the Hero Group.

Shangari announced the move on LinkedIn, saying, “Excited to begin a new chapter as Director – Institutional Reputation & External Engagement at BML Munjal University, and to be part of the Hero Group family.”

With over 15 years of experience in communications and public relations, Shangari has worked extensively on reputation management, stakeholder trust, and strategic communication. Prior to this, he served as Director – Policy Communication & Outreach at E-Gaming Federation for a brief stint. In this role, he led policy communication and advocacy amid heightened regulatory scrutiny in India’s online gaming sector following the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025. He advised industry stakeholders on reputation risk, stakeholder positioning, and narrative-building in a rapidly evolving policy environment.

Earlier, Shangari was Group Business Director within the Social Impact Practice at Avian WE, where he led high-impact communications mandates across corporate and development sectors. Over the years, he has worked with organisations such as PepsiCo India, Godrej Enterprises, Wadhwani Foundation, Cognizant, Jindal Steel, Council on Energy, Environment and Water, and The Convergence Foundation.

In his new role, Shangari will focus on strengthening institutional reputation and external engagement for BML Munjal University as it continues to build its profile in India’s higher education ecosystem.
