Vikram has more than 17 years of experience in finance leadership, strategic planning, and governance, having worked with both Indian and global organisations. With a stronger leadership team now in place, the company said this move will further enhance collaboration across Warner Music’s APAC region and support its efforts to reach broader audiences.
Before joining Warner Music India, Vikram was Finance Controller at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where he worked closely with the India and South Asia leadership teams to support long-term growth and improve operational efficiency. His career also includes senior roles at Ernst & Young and the Welspun Group, giving him wide-ranging experience in financial reporting, auditing, taxation, and performance management.
Commenting on his new role, Vikram Kulkarni said he is pleased to join Warner Music India at an important phase for the music industry in India and South Asia. He added that the company’s strong focus on artists and its forward-looking vision stood out to him, and he looks forward to working with the team to drive sustainable growth, strengthen financial systems, and support creativity in the region.
Jay Mehta, Managing Director of Warner Music India and SAARC, said that Vikram’s mix of financial expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership makes him a strong addition to the organisation. He added that Vikram is expected to play a key role in supporting teams, encouraging creativity, and guiding the company towards long-term success in a fast-growing market.
