Simon Milner, Vice President of Public Policy for Meta in the Asia-Pacific region, has shared that he will be stepping away from the company later this year. He announced the decision through a LinkedIn post, saying he plans to retire from full-time work and begin a new phase of his professional life.
Milner recently completed 14 years at Meta and reflected on his journey as a highly rewarding experience filled with significant responsibilities, challenges, and impact. Before joining Meta, he spent the early part of his career working in public policy roles at organisations such as the BBC and British Telecom.
He also mentioned that he will continue with Meta for a few more months to support the transition process, including helping identify his successor and ensuring continuity for the APAC public policy team. Looking back, Milner said it was a major career highlight to spend the last eight years handling key policy matters for Meta across the Asia-Pacific region.
