There is growing discussion in the digital media industry over whether Rajesh Upadhyay, Editor-in-Chief of Jagran New Media, the digital arm of Jagran Prakashan Limited, will complete his current tenure by the end of March.
Speculation is rife that his term is set to end on 31 March 2026. However, in a conversation with Samachar4Media, Upadhyay dismissed it as a rumour, saying he continues to attend the office as usual. So far, the company has not made any official statement regarding an extension or leadership changes.
Upadhyay has been active in the media industry for over three decades and has held senior roles in both print and digital media. He joined Jagran New Media in 2016.Under his leadership, the company has focused on digital journalism, fact-checking, and content innovation. He is also known for initiating the “Vishwas News” platform.
Upadhyay was promoted to Executive President in August 2024. Before joining Jagran, he held senior positions at HT Media and DB Corp Limited.
